It's been a little minute since I've taken the time to update my blog. I always say I'm going to be better about posting, but time just seems to fly by. Here's an update... I just celebrated a year being at Radiate 60 recently and it's been a positive change. I've really enjoyed the energy of being in a bigger salon and being around all of the people. I'm still accepting new clients so if you're seeking a new stylist or need a makeup artist for a special occasion definitely keep me in mind & schedule an appointment. This is the salon from the entrance...it's super spacious, pretty and airy.
We recently had headshots taken by Sarah Best and so that was fun :) She does beautiful work and you can see more images of photos she has taken at www.sarahbestphotography.com/blog. Also I've been sober for a little over two years now so that's also been a really positive change. In the promises it says, "We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves....They are being fulfilled for us -sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them." I love that part about the promises and truly when I look back on certain times of my life I see how far God has carried me and I trust his path for my life includes sobriety. So, here I am and I'm a lot happier and I see blessings all around me all the time. I'm just really thankful these days.

I was asked to work with Kit Magazine for their January + February issue -I love working with them. I shared some tips for both hair and makeup and also product suggestions. It was so sweet of them to feature me! I will say, I am much  more comfortable being behind the lens. I am just more familiar with getting other people all glammed up for photos so when it's my turn it just makes me a little nervous, but I know growth happens when we step outside of our comfort zones. That's something I'm trying to work on. Here are some photos of what the spread looked like...
(You can find the latest issue of Kit Magazine at your nearby Kroger)
Here's my sweet Lacey girl supporting her momma, hehe.

Also am super happy <3 <3 <3 so I've been trying to work on the whole work/life balance thing lately. Lacey girl and I spend a lot of time with these two when I'm away from the salon. I love when they come in for fresh cuts...aren't they soooo cute!?!

I also recently did makeup for a photoshoot at a new venue in downtown Indy called INDUSTRY. It is a gorgeous addition to the city for sure and I hope to work with brides there again in the future. It was really beautiful to see everything come together as if it were an actual wedding day.

YAY for donuts and double yay for getting to work with my friend Hannah & (also her friend Kylia)! Hannah and I worked together at SalonEtc. and she is an amazing stylist and does beautiful formal styles and updo's (seriously though). Love when I get to work with her!

Aside from all of this I think I speak on behalf of everyone in Indiana when I say that we are ALL anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring! In the meantime Drew is always bringing me flowers so it at least keeps my place feeling pretty and springy.
I promise to be more diligent in posting! I hope how ever this blog finds you that you're well and having a blessed day.
