Monday Motivation

It's kind of easy to want to fast forward to get to where we want to be in life -the next best place, next best "things", next best relationships, etc. I myself get caught up in this from time to time and obviously the fast paced "more" driven society standards can attribute to these thoughts. However, I have been trying lately to really embrace where I am, acknowledge the gifts God has given me and put forth my best effort to use them in my every day life. I wake up each day trying to thank God first for where I am and thank him for any and every opportunity that may come my way. The way I see it is that if I use my gifts he's given me now it will only fulfill his greater purpose for me later. Some people have asked me lately, do you make time for fun, Ash? To me this is fun, haha. I love what I do and I feel like this is my purpose for right now. I don't know what's in store, just am trying to be as useful as I can with what I have right now and keep faith that God will lead the way as planned.
work hard, dream big & keep faith. #MondayMotivation xoxo

Kit

Here are some more fun photos of work I've done with Kit! Check Kit out online!

In the Press

One of the fun things about my profession is that I'm free to be as creative as I want and there are endless possibilities for where the beauty industry can take me. There is a local magazine called 'Kit' and they essentially provide readers with a 'kit' for different aspects of daily life; whether it be fashion, cooking, beauty, etc. My Aunt Laura is a model for Helen Wells Modeling Agency here in Indy and invited me to come to one of the shoots she was doing for 'kit' to do her hair and makeup. I'm so grateful to have had that opportunity because it has kind of opened the door to more opportunities to work with 'Kit'! There's just something so fun to me about being around people who are creating a vision for a photoshoot. The photographers, creative directors of the magazine, models, stylists -it's just fun. I love love doing makeup and it's always fun to create new looks depending on what the theme of the shoot may be so I always look forward to new faces, new themes and appreciate input from artists other than myself. Oh, p.s. Kit was once called after40 and they since have changed their name -I think kit is more relatable and a little sassier which is always a good thing. Here are some photos from the first shoot I did with them...& the model below is my goreous Aunt Laura. :)
